Protection foryour unborn child
There are simple things you can do from the moment you start planning a baby that can help you to have a happy, healthy pregnancy. One important thing you can do is to take a Folic Acid supplement such as Preconceive 400mcg Tablets Folic Acid every day, until the end of your first trimester.
What isfolic acid?
Folic Acid is a B vitamin found in green vegetables (such as broccoli), yeast spreads and fortified cereals. Research shows that taking a Folic Acid supplement such as Preconceive 400mcg Tablets Folic Acid before you conceive and during early pregnancy can help to protect your unborn child from neural tube birth defects, such as Spina Bifida.*

A healthy diet is always important but especially so when you are trying for a baby or are pregnant. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the mountains of advice available on what you should or shouldn’t eat. Don’t worry though – help is at hand.
Go Folic! is a national campaign started by the charity Shine in 2011, to help raise vital awareness among all women of childbearing age about the importance of taking Folic Acid BEFORE becoming pregnant.
